I visited Room One on Monday morning for Writing. As it was Monday, it was weekend story time. After having a story modelled, the children worked on their own stories and pictures. On Tuesday I visited Room 4 for their writing time. The children were working on their cross country recounts. They were at varying stages in this process. There was an emphasis on children describing their feelings about the racing which meant there was a number of great descriptive words being used. On Wednesday I attended the Ellesmere Zone Cross Country at Leeston Show grounds. I was extremely proud of our team of 34 runners who all ran with PRIDE. In particular the Determination they showed to do their very best was what impressed me the most. We have eight children representing the Ellesmere Zone at the Canterbury Primary Schools Cross Country which is awesome!
