PRIDE vision
This term our focus will be on the letter “I” within the word Pride. “I” stands for Initiative and for our school that means “Think for Yourself” We will also have the Excellence value running through this as well.
Playground
Like all schools there is a hive of activity at break times at Dunsandel School—in the last week of term 2 I saw games of soccer, touch rugby, a rugby kicking competition, building of castles and tunnels in the sandpit, children playing tag, organised games with Mr Happer, children in the library playing board games and reading, skipping games, netball practice and a variety of made up games across the road (generally these made up games are the most complex!). Its great to see and hear our children at play—there is a high level of engagement with each other and generally lots of laughter. Just what we want our children to be doing at break time—Having fun!
Today we had the Kahurangi Dance Group at school. Their show was Myths and Legends – it had our children enthralled.
