Today we held a special assembly to mark the first anniversary of the 22.2 Christchurch Earthquake. All children helped plant an Oak Tree – the Oak Tree symbolises ‘hope’. We held a moment of silence and sang ‘True Colours’. I was proud of all our children who gave the occasion the respect it deserved. It was great to have some parents and caregivers come along and share this occasion with us. The tree has been planted on the big field and is visible as you drive past our school.
Kia Kaha Canterbury!
