What a great day our Country Day was on Friday!
Thank-you to all parents, caregivers, grandparents, and friends of our school who came along and shared the day with our children. Thank-you for transporting pets to and from school.
We appreciate the support of our judges – who come along and judge and talk to our children about their pets.
Thank-you to Meredith and her team who had their dogs demonstrate some great skills.
Thank-you to all those who entered the PTA Bake a Cake competition – the standard of cakes was outstanding. Congratulations to the Botherway Family who had their cake judged in first place . Thank-you all those who bid and ultimately bought cakes – the final figure from the auction being over $5000 is a fantastic result for the PTA and their fundraising efforts.
Thank-you to Gary Michael, Nathan Currie, Justin Wolff and Craig Happer for their setting up of the field for the pets.
Thank-you to my staff for their organisation of this day.
I hope you got to have a look a look at the Pet Projects which were outside the hall. The handwriting and art was displayed in the hall – if you didn’t get to see the art work it will be on display at the Ellesmere Show on 19 October.
I congratulate and commend all children for sharing their pets, for completing Pet Projects, for some awesome art work and handwriting.
