It seems nature is hitting Canterbury hard in recent times…earthquakes, flooding, snow and now the wild weather last week. School was closed for the one day – we had no power and the roads were unsafe for travel. We communicated this via our school links service, our twitter/Facebook text service, our website and announcement on More FM. Thanks to Jane Anderson who was able to update our website and put out our school closure school links text – I am aware that some people may not have received the text – there was issues with cell phone towers in the region. Thanks to Allan & Ngaire Bodger for clearing debris over by Room 6 – much appreciated. I know everyone has a tree, power or storm story to tell from last week but let’s hope mother nature gives Canterbury a break. I also hope that our families are returning to normal routine.
