We sent a large team of cross country runners to the Ellesmere Zones today – all children ran with a lot of determination which was great. We will have four runners representing the zone at the Canterbury Primary Schools Cross Country next month. The following comment was made to me in an email; this is from someone who saw our children giving the run their very best shot “The Dunsandel kids represented your school with PRIDE and I think the P for Participation could also be P for Perseverance”. Our expectation is that our children represent our school with PRIDE so it is nice for us to get positive feedback about our children. I congratulate all our runners.
Currently classes are studying Famous In New Zealand. We had a whole school trip to Willowbank Wildlife Park on Friday – children leant about the kiwi and tuatara.
I visited Room 2 who had made a yummy Pavlova with kiwifruit on top. All the children enjoyed the tasting and making!
