COUNTRY DAY 2014

Wow! What a fantastic day we had on Friday with our Country Day. The excitement at school started when children arrived from 830am and lasted all day!! It was an awesome day!

Thank you to all parents and caregivers, grandparents and friends of our school who came along and shared our Country Day. Thank you for transporting and organising pets to and from school – I hope all pets had a good weekend recovering! Also thank-you for organising children with materials for their vegetable/fruit creations and miniature scenes.

We appreciate the support of our judges who come along in their own time to judge and talk to our children. Thank you to all those who entered the PTA Bake a Cake competition. Congratulations to the winning cakes and thank-you to those who bid on and won cakes at the lunchtime auction.

Also thank you to the PTA for organising morning tea for our judges and running the BBQ at lunchtime.

Thank you to Justin Wolff, Deane Matthews and Craig Happer for setting up the field for the pets.

Thank you to my staff for their organisation of this day – there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes and during the lead up to the day.

I hope you got to see the Pet Projects that were displayed outside Room One and Two. The handwriting and artwork was displayed in the hall – the artwork will also be on display at the Ellesmere Show if you missed it.

I congratulate all children for sharing their pets, for completing Pet Projects, for making some awesome fruit/vegetable creations and miniature scenes and for some fantastic handwriting and artwork.
