Ellesmere Zone Cross Country

I was very proud of our Cross Country Team, led by Carter, at their zone event on Thursday. All our children gave their races everything and they were super representatives for our school. It was also pretty cool to see the excitement of the children who were representing our school for the first time. Congratulations to the following children who were placed in their races
Year 6 Boys – Carter 3rd .
Year 5 Boys – Jack 1st, George 2nd.
Year 5 Girls - Emma 1st, Charlotte 2nd
Year 4 – Paige 2nd
Thank you to Mrs Barns for her team organization and to Mr Happer for taking extra training runs with our team. Thanks to Nicky Wolff and Jasmine Adam for being our schools marshalls on the day. And thank you to the parents and caregivers who supported our team.
Special Congratulations to the following children who will represent our school and the Ellesmere Zone at the Canterbury Primary Schools Cross Country – Carter, Alex, Molly, Emma, Charlotte, Jack and George. Children who finish in the top 6 in the Year 5 and 6 races qualify for the Canterbury Event which will be held on 10th June at the Halswell Quarry.
