Singing, Athletics and World Cup

It was a pleasure to be at Horncastle Arena last Thursday to listen to our choir sing at the Christchurch Schools Music Festival. I commend each member of our choir for their commitment and their singing – they should feel very proud of themselves. Thank you to Mrs Barns for her organisation of our choir and a special thank you to Mrs Barnett for giving up her time to work with our choir and to ensure they knew how to sing the songs. Thank you to the parents and caregivers who provided transport to the rehearsal on Thursday morning and who supported our choir at their performance. Ellesmere Zone

Athletics – We are sending a team of 31 to Southbridge School on Thursday to participate in the Ellesmere Zone Athletics. I congratulate all members of our team and special congratulations to Molly who has been selected to be our Athletics Captain for 2015. I’m sure Molly and the team will represent our school with PRIDE. Thank you to those parents and caregivers who will be providing transport and support on Thursday.

It was great to see the children embrace our “All Black” mufti day on Friday (it was a Blackout at Assembly) – their support obviously helped the All Blacks to their victory in the World Cup final on Sunday morning.
