Winter Tournament and Open Classrooms

Open Classrooms

Thank-you to those parents and caregivers wo came long on Friday afternoon for our open classrooms. As I moved the classrooms it was great to see parents and children looking through work books and chatting what has been going on in class. I thought the children were proud to show their work and were excited to play games, do puzzles, knit and draw with their children. Thanks to my teachers for opening their classrooms.

Winter Tournament

We had a highly successful day at the Ellesmere Zone Winter Tournament last Tuesday. I was very proud of all our children – they showed determination, a sense of fair play and enjoyment. Special congratulations to our Soccer and Netball A team who have qualified to represent our Zone at the Canterbury Primary Schools Winter Tournament on 25 August. Thank you to our coaches Anna O’Reilly, Miss McLeod, Don Lough and Mr Happer and thank you to the parents and caregivers who provided transport and support on the sidelines.
